Privacy policy

Your things, your data.

Last updated 15 October 2026. This policy covers the Veyn apps for iPhone and Android and the services behind them, including Doyo, the AI assistant inside Veyn.

In short. Veyn keeps the records you give it about your home, car, pets, trips and money so Doyo can help with them. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. Doyo acts out in the world (a web booking, a phone call) only after you approve each action. You can delete your account and its data from the app at any time. Veyn does not connect to your bank. Using Veyn is also covered by our terms.

Who we are

Veyn is operated by vspindle ("we"). Questions, requests and complaints: support@veyn.world.

What we collect, and why

DataWhy we use it
Account: name, email, password (stored only as a hash) or your Google / Apple sign-in, username, phone numberTo sign you in, let friends find you, and, if you verify your phone number, let Doyo give it to a business when you allow it.
What you add: homes, rooms, cars, pets, trips, documents, receipts, photos, 3D scans, notes, tasks, money records you type inTo build your digital twin and answer your questions about it.
Conversations with Doyo, and what Doyo did for you (approvals, errands, calls and their summaries)To answer you, keep a history you can review, and show what was done on your behalf.
Cards and accounts you add in Spending: a name, the bank or app, the kind (debit, credit, savings, e-wallet, cash), the last 4 digits and the balance you typeTo tell your cards apart and show your money in one place. We never ask for or keep a full card number, its expiry or security code, a PIN or a bank login, and Veyn has no connection to your bank. Money records are seen only by members of your household, never by a guest viewer.
The order page of a shop you opened from a QR code in Veyn, when you tap Add this order to SpendingIts visible text is sent once to our AI provider to read the total, date and shop, which fill in the expense form for you to check. It can include details the shop shows back to you, such as your name, phone number or table; what you type into the shop's page (like card details) is never read. Veyn doesn't keep it, and nothing is saved until you tap Record.
Receipt photos you scan in SpendingSent once to our AI provider to read the total, currency, date, shop and kind of spending, which fill in the expense form for you to check. Veyn doesn't keep the photo, and nothing is saved until you tap Record.
What Doyo learns about you: short notes on your preferences, from what you type to Doyo and what you choose in the app (answers you rate, actions you approve or turn down, which of your things you open)So Doyo can help the way you like without asking again. Only you can see them; never your household, friends or businesses. Health, beliefs, politics, income and debts are not kept. App-use records are kept 90 days.
Chats, voice messages and calls with friendsTo deliver them to the people you're talking to.
Location, only while you use a feature that needs it (a car problem sent to businesses, fuel or charging nearby, drives and trips, placing your home, the sun on your home)To ask businesses near the car, find places nearby, plan the route, and work out sunlight. It is read when you ask, never tracked in the background, and only saved when you save it as your home's place.
Contacts, only if you allow itTo show which contacts are on Veyn. Your contacts stay on your phone; only a one-way fingerprint of each email is checked.
Camera, microphone and motion, while you use themFor photos, 3D scans, voice messages and calls. Voice messages are transcribed on your phone where it can.
Email vault (optional): findings from your Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud or other emailRead on your phone with your permission and stored encrypted with a key only you hold; we can't read it. Gmail and Outlook connect through Google's and Microsoft's own sign-in; another email (such as Yahoo or iCloud) connects with an app password you make for Veyn, which stays in your phone's keychain while your phone talks to your mail provider directly over an encrypted connection. If you turn on "Let Doyo send email" (off unless you do), Doyo can write an email, and your phone sends it from your own mailbox only when you press Send on it. If you also turn on "Doyo can send without asking me" (a second switch, off unless you do), Doyo asks each time whether to send straight away or show you first; only when you tap "send it without asking me" does that one email go without a second tap, and you get a notification. Veyn's servers never hold your mailbox access. You can turn either off any time.
Purchases and usage: your plan, AI points used, payment statusTo bill you and enforce plan limits. We never see full card numbers.
Device and technical data: push notification token, app version, IP address, error logsTo send notifications you asked for, keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.

AI and actions on your behalf

Who processes your data for us

We use service providers who process data only on our instructions: hosting and database (Vercel, Supabase), AI (Anthropic, Amazon Web Services, Google), text messages for phone verification (Twilio), phone calls and web errands when you approve them (Vapi, Browserbase), payments (Stripe, Apple, Google), notifications (Expo) and email (Resend). Data may be processed outside your country, with safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Shop links and commissions

Some Buy and Book links from Doyo open through an affiliate network (for example Involve Asia) before the shop's page loads, and Veyn may earn a commission if you buy. The card tells you when that is so, and it never changes what Doyo suggests. Like any site you open, the network can see which page you are going to, your IP address and your browser or device details, and may set a cookie to credit the sale. We send it nothing else about you: no name, email or account details, only which kind of card the tap came from. You always choose and pay on the shop's own site or app.

Sharing

We share your data with people you choose (household members, friends, businesses you ask for quotes) and with the providers above. We don't sell it or share it for advertising. We may disclose it if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

As long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your account, the households only you own, and their records, files and scans are deleted. Shared households pass to another member. Payment records that tax law requires stay with Stripe, Apple or Google.

Your choices and rights

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, each household's records are isolated in the database, and the email vault is end-to-end encrypted. No system is perfectly secure; we'll tell you promptly if a breach affects you.

Children

Veyn isn't intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Terms

Your use of Veyn is also governed by our terms and conditions.

Changes

We'll update this page when our practices change and tell you in the app about important changes.
